For those who live outside of the United Kingdom, I would like to draw your attention to the BBC’s annual charity event called ‘Children in Need’. This show, first aired in 1980, features a mixture of comedy, music & entertainment to raise money for kids who face hardship & challenges in their life.
Part of the event that I particularly like is ‘The Rickshaw Challenge’. This is a multi-stage bicycle ride undertaken by 6 amazing young people, who take turns to pedal a rickshaw along a 423 mile route from Calais, through the Channel tunnel & up through the heart of the country into Manchester.
Now as their ride is drawing to a close, I take my hat off to Harry, Maisie, Kayla, Phoebe, Abby & Kieran on a job well done. You are an inspiration to this country & worthy members of this ‘Club’.
Chapeau!
